General Manager Required

Milk Thistle opened in 2012 and has been recognised by various national awards and more importantly has a loyal local following.

The venue is split over 4 floors is open 6 days a week and hosts a variety of events alongside it’s bread and butter as a damn fine watering hole.  As General Manager the applicant should oversee all elements of the venue including health & safety compliance, stock & GP management, staff recruitment, training and development, menu design & development. Alongside the day-to-day running of the venue the applicant must be able to utilise the entire space and explore additional revenue streams.
Staff education and development is key to continuing and improving upon the success of the bar.

The ideal candidate would;

Experience in hospitality management preferably over a multi-level venue.
Have experience in running events from inception to event day
Creative in driving different forms of business alongside the evening cocktail bar The Milk Thistle is known for.
Excellent in delegating tasks and leading a team in a supervisory role.
Be able to work in conjunction with the beverage manager to foster an atmosphere of progression and learning in the team, our events manager in creating profitable and exciting events and be a great communicator.
