Whether you’re looking to host a private party, networking event, business meeting or corporate entertainment event, we have just the space for you!
Our expert team are on hand to ensure that your event goes off without a hitch, and we can even provide entertainment in the form cocktail making master-classes, wine tastings, and much more.
Ideally located as a wedding reception venue based in the heart of Bristol city centre, just a stones throw away from the Bristol registry office on Corn Street.
The venue can cater from 20 to 130 guests. A choice of rooms are available to cater from larger and more elaborate to the small and intimate days, including the use of the whole building for the larger events.
The Attic, on our top floor, hosts up to 16 guests, and we think it’s the perfect place to host a private dinner party. In the past our dinner parties have been very popular, and you’ve all enjoyed our menus, but they’ve just got a little bit better… We’ve teamed up with our award winning cousin, The Ox, to create a menu that we feel is even more spectacular!
Those of you in the know, which is probably quite a lot of you by now, will already be aware that we’re part of one big Bristol Family. We’re the younger sister of Hyde and Co and in November last year our cousin moved into town, bringing Bristol some of the best steaks it’s ever seen. We are, of course, talking about The Ox.
Friday 13th may be unlucky for some, but for us it couldn’t have been luckier, as the wonderful folk at Prohibition Bristol transported us back to a bygone age, or more specifically, 1920’s Cuba!
Inspired by American high class society, who found a way around the US’ strict Prohibition laws by hopping on a plane to Cuba (boozing was alive, well and very much legal over there!) the evening saw 150 revellers, decked out in fabulous Cuban inspired fancy dress, enjoy a truly Tropical extravaganza.
There’s nothing that we love more than hearing great feedback about our venues from you, our customers, and we hope that over the years you’ve all enjoyed a cocktail or two with The Milk Thistle and Hyde & Co, or more recently, fallen in love with the newest addition to our family – The Ox. We believe that Bristol as a city is one of the best food and drink destinations in the UK, and we want to do our bit to help put it on the map.
If you’re a regular at The Milk Thistle, or even if you’ve just stuck your head round our door, you’ll know that we’re partial to a fabulous piece of taxidermy or two. Whether it’s The Milk Thistle’s waist coated badger, Hyde and Co’s top hatted squirrel, or The Ox’s family of Boars, we do love a dapper creature with a bit of personality!
Tucked away in a basement below The Commercial Rooms on Corn Street, The Ox is a bastion of simple, top notch, British fayre, cooked to impeccable standards.
Situated in the heart of the Old City, you’ll find a menu packed with the choicest cuts of prime steak and tasty, meaty morsels. Our butcher likes to think that our steaks are the best in the city and when you’ve tasted one cooked in our charcoal oven we think you’ll agree!
