Seale’s Rum Dinner
If Rum’s your thing then this is the evening you’ve been waiting for, as we at The Milk Thistle have the honour of presenting a dinner hosted by one of the most influential people in the world of Rum; Richard Seale himself!
Richard Seale was born to make rum. He is the great grandson of the original Reginald Leon Seale who founded the company in 1926, making him the fourth generation to work in the family rum business; one of the few remaining family owned distilleries in the world.
On Monday 16th March we’ll be treating you to a three course meal, expertly prepared by our Chefs at the Ox, which will be perfectly matched with the rums of foursquare distillery in Barbados. These include the Doorly’s range, four square spiced and R.L.Seale’s 10 year old.
Hosted in The Milk Thistle’s private dining room, The Attic, we’ll treat you to a fabulous three course dinner, devised by The Ox Head Chef Todd Francis, matched with some mouthwatering rum cocktails using a range of Foursquare Rums.
Crab and pomelo salad, mint, coriander, carrot, chilli, peanuts, toasted coconut
BBQ pork loin, Brown chicken stew, grilled calcots, sweet potato gratin
Sticky ginger pudding, banana rum and raisin ice cream
As Master Distiller and ambassador for all the Rums produced at the family owned Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados, Richard firmly believes rum’s rightful place is among the world’s finest spirits and this is what drives his passion to make the very best rums. He’ll be on hand to share his expert knowledge with you throughhout the evening, and as a keen foodie has given our kitchen plenty of inspiration for the evening’s menu. He is also a man with strong opinions on the world of rum and he doesn’t pull any punches, so expect some home truths and entertaining anecdotes.
Tickets are limited so if you love rum, you can’t miss this event!
